I recently welcomed this lovely family into my Sutton Coldfield photography studio to capture some relaxed family portraits. Their photoshoot was everything I love about being a Sutton Coldfield family photographer; real laughter and plenty of time to just be themselves.

My studio photography has the same relaxed feel as my outdoor shoots. There’s no rush or pressure, just an easygoing atmosphere where families can have fun together while I capture those genuine moments in between.

I’ve always loved photographing families outdoors – the space, the freedom, and those natural, spontaneous moments but sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate and we’ve needed to reschedule. But now, with the addition of my light and airy studio in Sutton Coldfield, I can offer an alternative. The outdoor shoots aren’t for everyone, so the studio is ideal for families who prefer a more indoor look. It’s decorated with a soft neutral colour palette and is flooded with natural light, so perfect for photos whatever the weather.

Both options have the same relaxed, natural style that families love. Whether that’s running around outdoors or snuggling together in the studio. You now have the best of both worlds. Here are some of my favourites from the session with this lovely family.
