Hampton Manor Wedding Photography

Hampton Manor Secret Garden Inspired Wedding

As a Birmingham wedding photographer, I’m spoilt when it comes to photographing weddings at fantastic venues. Hampton Manor is one of my favourite wedding venues, in the Birmingham area. It’s a beautiful  place just outside Solihull with stunning architecture, a mix of contemporary interior design, gorgeous grounds for photographs and amazing food! Jamie is in the army in England, Jessi lived in Florida. Their story began when Jamie walked into the last bar that Jessi went into for one of her girlfriends hen night. As they say, right place, right time! Months of Skyping and transatlantic visits followed, before they realised they couldn’t be apart. Jamie proposed, Jessi moved to the UK and wedding plans began. Both loved the book ‘The Secret Garden’ and loved the idea of an English afternoon tea, so this was incorporated into the day. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a dog lover, so I did a happy dance when I saw that their dog, Oreo, joined them for a photo, looking very smart in his tweed waistcoat. Karen at Passion for Flowers worked her magic with books, moss, ferns and roses to give the room a real enchanted feel and Ben the Cake Man, created the spectacular cake. I loved the fact that Jessi had two dresses, one for the daytime and then a shorter one so she could dance later in the evening. Just as Jessi’s Dad began his speech, he was interrupted by the best surprise ever! Jessi is a big Musical Theatre fan, Les Miserables being her favourite. Without her knowing Jamie and organised a local amateur dramatics society to interrupt the speeches and begin a performance of some of her favourite songs, her reaction was incredible! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place. I flipping loved this wedding and was made to feel so welcome, Jessi and Jamie’s families and friends were my kind of people, warm, funny and full of life. As always the team at Hampton Manor did a brilliant job of looking after everyone, including me. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your Hampton Manor Wedding make sure you get in touch.

Doddington Hall Wedding Photography – Daisy & Chris

Daisy & Chris chose Doddington Hall & Gardens in Lincolnshire, as the venue for their relaxed, country wedding, last year. After a week of rain, we were treated to a gorgeous sunny day. Daisy and Chris poured lots of personal touches into their day, Daisy created the place settings herself, her Brother designed the stationery and her Mum was responsible for all of the flowers (she enjoyed it so much she’s now set up her own floristry business). Chris is a keen cyclist so bikes were incorporated into the their day, on the stationery and the couple used a beautiful vintage bike with a basket filled with beautiful flowers (hired from Pretty Little Extras). There was even a bike sneaked into the cake, which was lovingly made by Daisy’s Aunty at Chocckywoccydoodah, it really did look too good to eat! It was a gorgeous wedding with wonderful, warm, friendly people. Thanks for having me along. Here are some of my favourites

Curradine Barns Wedding Photography – Louise & James

I feel so lucky to share such amazing days with people like Louise & James. A couple who on their wedding day were totally themselves – laid back, laughing a lot and simply loving every single minute of their day. Louise’s laughter was so infectious, definitely one of my smiliest brides yet. I know I’m stating the obvious but it’s so important to just forget all the things you’ve stressed about in the planning stages/run up to your wedding and just ‘switch off and go with it’ on the day, that way you’ll have the best time and it will show in your photos. As always Curradine Barns were magnificent hosts and the weather was glorious, all in all this was a perfect wedding. Here are some of my favourites.

Birtsmorton Court Wedding Photography – Suzanne & Stuart

Birtsmorton Court WeddingA beautiful classically styled wedding at Birtsmorton Court

I was so pleased to be chosen to photograph this elegant Summer wedding at Birtsmorton Court. Birtsmorton Court is a beautiful moated manor house, in the Worcestershire countryside. The morning started with make up being expertly applied by the lovely Hayley Thompson before Suzanne’s Dad arrived and saw her dress for the first time, which is always such a lovely moment to photograph. If you’re having a church wedding at Birtsmorton Court, the church is on site, so it’s lovely being able to walk to your ceremony. Suzanne walked arm in arm with her Dad through the grounds and into the chapel, to her beaming Groom. After the ‘I do’s’ there was some hilarious and rather enthusiastic confetti throwing. I always tell my couples that you can never have too much confetti! The guests all made their way over to the main house for drinks and canapés on the terrace overlooking the moat. All of my couples, really relaxed, friendly people, so it was like being with friends as we wandered the grounds – they got to take some time out and just be together and I got to take some lovely, natural photos of them, win-win. The guests were treated to hilarious speeches and entertained after dinner by the fabulous Christian Fletcher and his close up magic, before partying the night away.

Danesfield House Wedding Photography – Andrea & Sam

I’d been so looking forward to Andrea and Sam’s stunning wedding at Danesfield House ever since Andrea got in touch. Having met Andrea and Sam over four years ago at her Mums wedding, it was so lovely to hear that they were getting married and that I’d have the chance to spend some time with their wonderful families again. Being able to have a relaxed day to enjoy with their family and friends was really important to Andrea and Sam, so they knew my style of photography would fit perfectly with their plans. The day was full to the brim with fun, laughter and packed with emotion. Andrea and Sam are such warm people and full of fun, it’s easy to see they’re clearly adored by everyone, it was a pleasure to be their wedding photographer at Danesfield House. Andrea started the day getting ready with her Mum, friends and Maverick their French Bulldog, who looked adorable in his flower garland and tux. Once Andrea was in her stunning Galia Lahav couture dress, her Mum and family performed ‘the red scarf blessing’ a Cypriot/Greek tradition to bless the bride before her ceremony. I then headed to wait with Sam and the rest of the guests for her arrival to the ceremony in the stunning Versailles Suite. The day was finished off with a surprise firework display and a greek dancing, such a brilliant day!

Sudeley Castle Wedding Photography – Sammy and Anthony

Last Summer took me to lots of beautiful weddings in the Cotswolds and my first time photographing a wedding at Sudeley Castle. Weddings at Sudeley Castle are always going to be romantic, Sudeley is steeped in history with acres of beautiful gardens and ruins to wander through and was a perfect location for Sammy and Anthony’s big day, which was great fun to photograph. I arrived to the girls excitement and the popping of champagne corks, Sammy looked absolutely stunning in Pronovias and her Bridesmaids were super stylish in nude wrap dresses. Naturally Anthony looked really sharp in his suit. It was a beautiful ceremony in St Mary’s Chapel, which is in the grounds of Sudeley, so the guests could simply walk over to the drinks reception in the Queens Garden. We were treated to perfect summer weather, warm and sunny, just right for everyone to enjoy drinks and canapés in the grounds. Here are some of my favourites.

Mas de la Rose Wedding, Provence – Rachel & Ryan

As I’m writing this it’s grey and wet outside, so what better day to share Rachel and Ryan’s beautiful wedding in sunny Provence. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer at Mas de la Rose, I’m your girl! It’s a gorgeous intimate venue, nestled in Provencal countryside, amongst the vineyards and Lavender, that I’m always thrilled to go back to. I arrived to Rachel and the girls getting ready and Ryan enjoying a drink with his squad of Groomsmen. I couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome during the day, Rachel and Ryan and their families were so lovely. I have to pinch myself sometimes that I get to work with such fantastic people. The day was beautiful, relaxed and filled with laughter, so sit back and enjoy some sunshine.

Curradine Barns Wedding Photography – Lauren & Alex

As we race towards the end of another year and no doubt some of you will be starting to feel a bit festive, I thought I’d treat you to the cosy, colourful, Autumn, fairy light filled and down right fabulous wedding of Lauren & Alex at Curradine Barns. After my first email with Lauren, I just knew I wanted to shoot her wedding, even more so when we met. She’s a total babe with a wicked sense of humour and a big heart, she also has bucket loads of talent and runs Lauren Aston Designs, famous for chunky giant knitted blankets, cushions and Santa Hats (yes Santa hats) and if you’re a Instagram fan like I am, you’ll love her Insta Stories, they never fail to make me chuckle. Anyway, back to the wedding. I hadn’t met Alex until the big day, when I did it was easy to see what a perfect team they made! I don’t think there were many moments where they weren’t laughing together and just having the best time! You’ll be able to see their wedding featured on Rock My Wedding very soon, but in the mean time, here are some of my favourites.
