Marquee Reception at home with Eddison light bulbs
This lovely country wedding, had a marquee reception at home, with Eddison light bulbs and lots of hanging foliage. The Bride, Olivia looked so elegant in a Suzanne Neville gown, which was complimented by her full length cathedral veil. After a moving ceremony and some fantastic confetti throwing, Olivia and Scott jumped into a vintage Morgan and drove to their reception. I really love it when couples drive themselves from church to the reception. It looks so much fun!
Weddings with a Marquee reception at home are a real favourite of mine. This marquee, nestled in the woods, decorated with hanging Eddison light bulbs and tons of hanging greenery was absolutely beautiful! All of the flowers and hanging foliage were the work of the talented Wild Mint Floral Design The Groom, Scott, had worked tirelessly, in the run up to the wedding, to clear an area in the woods to site the clear marquee. I think it’s fair to say, he did an amazing job. The gardens of Olivia’s Aunt’s home, joined onto the grounds of stunning Lilleshall Abbey. It made a pretty epic backdrop for some of the photos. It was lovely for guests to be able to have a wander around the historic ruins too, chatting and eating their canapés.
After a relaxed drinks reception, guests had a short walk to the clear marquee in the woods. Heartfelt speeches followed, with a lovely tribute to Olvia’s Dad, by raising a ‘glass of the black stuff’

Just a little stroll through the garden and voila you’re in the grounds of Lilleshall Abbey. How amazing to have this practically in your back garden! I had a wander with Scott and Olivia, for some lovely relaxed couple portraits and I couldn’t resist using the ruins as a backdrop for the photos of their bridal party too.
Keeping it nice and relaxed for photos with your Bridesmaid Squad. Bringing your drinks is always a good idea!
How beautiful does the clear marquee look? I love the trestle tables, they give a lovely rustic feel and make dining a really sociable experience.
How beautiful do these Eddison light bulbs look, amongst the hanging greenery? I’m in love with this look!
