Gorcott Hall | Birmingham Wedding Photography
I loved being the Photographer for this beautiful wedding at Gorcott Hall! When I first met Bride, Vicky and she started telling me about their wedding plans, I was so excited to shoot their day! They’re such a warm, fun couple and wanted their wedding to be a big celebration of love, family and fun. Not only would not only incorporate their style but also include their Chinese and Nigerian heritage, topped off with an epic party! They pulled it off no problem. These guys know how to have a wedding! They didn’t stop smiling and laughing all day.
On the morning of the wedding I started at their home in Birmingham. Vicky and her girls were getting ready. Make up by Harper was on make up duties and Imperial Hair providing the gorgeous wedding hair. These ladies are awesome to work with. Vicky’s Bridesmaids were such a lovely group of girls, that the morning had a real upbeat feeling of excitement. Vicky’s family arrived and made sure everyone was well fed before they left for church (including me). I have to say that Vicky’s Dad makes the best dim sum I’ve ever eaten! The weather was perfect Vicky and her girls decided to crack open the champagne in the garden and have a celebratory glass of fizz, before they got into their outfits. This meant I could get some lovely natural photos of them all, as they enjoyed their champagne.
Dana Bolton Wedding dress for a Modern Boho Bride
Vicky’s dress was by one of my favourite British Designers, Dana Bolton. I just love her modern, boho style dresses. They’re made of the softest, swishy fabrics with beautiful French lace and are modern and feminine with a boho luxe look. Vicky looked amazing in hers!
Gorcott Hall Wedding Photography
The sun carried on shining when we arrived at Gorcott Hall, so Vicky and Nathaniel could mingle with their guests in the gardens. It’s a really beautiful, secluded country house venue, tucked away just outside Redditch and has so many gorgeous spots, inside and outside for your photography.
After
After the speeches Vicky and Nathaniel changed into traditional Chinese outfits, that were handmade in Hong Kong and kicked off the party with an really fun first dance. The dance floor was packed all night with some serious dance moves being shown off! It really was a great party! After plenty of dancing, it was time for another outfit change and the pair slipped away to change into traditional Nigerian outfits, that had been handmade by Nathaniel’s Mum – what a talent! They looked incredible!
