Wedding at Nuthurst Grange – Lorna & Peter

Lorna & Peter’s day was special in so many ways, great fun and emotional. Lorna spent the morning getting ready at her Mums, which was possibly the calmest house on the morning of a wedding I’ve ever been in. The morning went by with military precision helped along by Lorna’s brother who is one of the Queens Coldstream Guards and who has possibly the shiniest boots I’ve ever seen. The ceremony was at Olton Friary and it was so nice to be given permission to pretty much go where we wanted during the ceremony. I loved the ceremony and I might have actually shed a little tear.

After the ceremony it was off to Nuthurst Grange for the reception, the sun came out, polka dot cocktails flowed and the bride donned her red and white polka dot shades. Lorna wanted the day to be fun and fun it was. Thank you so much for having me I enjoyed every single minute.

Sonia & Andrew Preview – Wedding at Dodford Manor

On Saturday Sonia & Andrew were married. The weather was cold, windy and a bit wet but their wedding was fantastic and filled with warmth. At the end of the day there was just the smallest, but oh so beautiful strip of light, peaking out over the hill at Dodford Manor so we dashed outside. This is what we were rewarded with. Wedding at The Fairlawns – John & Hannah

John & Hannah’s wedding has definately been one of my favourites of 2012. On the day we were blessed with hazy Spring sunshine, ladies in hats and the guys in smart tails. John’s suit had some history behind it as it had belonged to his Father and his Grandfather before him who had bought the suit when John’s Grandmother received the OBE. Hannah looked stunning and it’s definately not fair to look so good whilst your still having your hair and make up done. I think everyone gasped when she put her dress on, a fitted Ian Stuart Lace gown. There was a real party atmosphere when I arrived to photograph her with her girls, getting ready, no stress, just great fun and this continued throughout the day.

The ceremony took place at St. Peters Church, Little Aston, followed by the reception at The Fairlawns Hotel which is owned by John’s family.
I loved seeing how adored John & Hannah are by their families and friends, love and laughter all day, especially during the speeches, so much happiness. It was great to be part of it, so thank you for having me.

Sonia & Andrew Engagement Shoot – Princethorpe College

I love it when a couple suggest somewhere I’ve never been before for their Engagement Shoot. Andrew & Sonia get married in few weeks at Princethorpe College in Warwickshire. Princethorpe, stands in beautiful grounds, complete with it’s own mile walk of meandering woodland. As Andrew is an ex-pupil he knew the grounds really well and we had great fun discovering spots for their portraits. They’re great fun, Sonia has a really infectious smile and laugh and Andy is so relaxed – I can’t wait for their wedding, we’ve set some time aside to shoot their couple portraits in the bluebells so I’ve got everything crossed they’re blooming.

Birmingham Newborn Baby Photographer – Baby Alex

I love newborn baby photography and plan to shoot much more of it over the coming months. It’s especially nice when I get to photograph Mum in a maternity session and then baby Alex when he arrived, kind of a ‘before and after.’ Here are some images from a recent shoot with Baby Alex just 6 days old and his gorgeous Mum.

Covergirl Laura – Your West Midlands Wedding Magazine

I’m absolutely thrilled to have one of my images chosen for cover of this months issue of Your West Midlands Wedding Magazine. Laura, one of my beautiful brides from last year looks absolutely stunning on the front cover. The picture was taken at Moxhull Hall. Their wedding is also featured in the magazine as they won the ‘Wedding of the Year’. I think you’ll agree she looks amazing.

Jennie & Matt – A Wedding at Wroxall Abbey

What a lovely wedding to start the year off with. Jennie & Matt were married a few weeks ago at Wroxall Abbey. It seemed like it was going to be the first day of Spring, with warms rays of sunshine, only to fool us as later in the day as it became incredibly blustery, still Jennie had Matt to keep her warm and we nipped in and out to take some portraits.

I had a fantastic morning of fun family portraits with these three cuties a while back. We went on a woodland ramble in and around Sutton Park. Running races, leaf and crab apple collecting were all part of the fun. I loved it.

Hannah & John Engagement Shoot in Sutton Park

I’ve had to wait a while to blog Hannah & John’s Engagement shoot. My website was hacked a few days after their shoot and it’s been hard work to get things rebuilt and back online. I’m delighted things are back to normal and even happier to kick start my Engagement shoots this year with Hannah & John’s.

We wandered around Sutton Park in the sunshine (don’t be fooled, it was freezing!) and hopefully I showed them that an Engagement shoot is a great way to get rid of any nerves they had about being in front of the camera. My photography is all about letting you be yourself and having some fun. I can’t wait for the wedding next month. Here are some of my favourites.

Kylie & Wade – Wedding at Moxhull Hall

I think I actually might have gasped when I saw Kylie’s Ian Stuart Dress, it was a vision of tulle, sequins and made me think of the ballet and a wedding all rolled into one. Kylie and Wade’s day was filled with emotion, they both have a way of making you feel so welcome and are just the lovliest of people. Wade wins the prize for having the most touching reaction upon seeing his bride, when she entered the room. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. They were married at the beautiful Moxhull Hall and despite having to change plans from having an outdoor ceremony due to the rain, at the very last minute, nothing dampened their smiles.
